Weather and Seasons

At an altitude of 4,000 feet, between the Cascade Mountains and the high desert of eastern Oregon, Vandevert Ranch enjoys over three hundred days of sunshine a year.  The three months of summer altogether average only three inches of rain (only twenty-two inches annually).  For residents who enjoy being out-of-doors in comfortable weather, the ranch is the perfect environment.  In winter, residents can ski in the morning and play golf in the afternoon, all within an hour's drive.  See photos of the four seasons below.
